haix.. yah i'm fj-ing now... i shld be mugging for cf1 now.. but i cant concentrate (what's new) so i decided to blog abt dublin and edinburgh! haha.. though some parts i alr wrote it as captions for the pictures in fb alr.. so prob only a brief outline of the things that happened ba..
7th oct: first time taking ryanair.. destination: dublin, transiting at london.. passing the customs at london was fine, but nat, bx and michelle had a hard time.. haha.. the woman asked every detail of their trip, wanting to see their boarding passes, hostel reservation, money, credit card, etc.. reason being she needs to know that they are fine and can survive. caring huh? anw.. when touching down in dublin, can tell that it's going to be a nice country. it looked sunny though abit cold. saw a beautiful sunset when we reached the city. wandered in temple bar in search of our dinner after checking in at our hostel.. met this old man who recommeneded us to go eat at a asian place where they sell rice and noodles when we were looking at menus of the diff eateries.. he said sth diff and a change from fast food.. haha... guess he's nice and concerned about our diet... haha.. ate at hungry harry's (fast food) then we walked around the area, soaking in the irsh music, and looking at the souvenir stores.. met a korean guy there!!! wahaha.. first korean i met on sep.. lol... but anw it was a nice experience walking through the streets at night, quite romantic european atmosphere.. haha... and our hostel was good. convenient location, the 6 of us had our pte room with own toilet.. quite satisfied.. haha..
8th oct: hostel provided gd breakfast too.. with hot cocoa drink, toast bread and nutella!!! (yah as usual i had a very generous spread of nutella... haha.. ) there was orange juice too.. went to the free tour after that.. the tour guide was passable, but he moved around too much. kept moving foward and back that it made us giddy.. his intro at the start was too wordy also.. and his head is always cranked towards some weird angle.. haha... but he was nice, and always waited for us to catch up with the group.. (we were always the last ones coz we kept staying back to take pics) after that went shopping at tkmaxx and penney's till around 8+pm and went to buy our ingredients for dinner.. spaghetti.. simplest.. and the meat was cheap! so much cheaper than denmark.. tsk. and we had baileys icecream for dessert! yum... and not forgetting healthy living - apples~ nite time was spent taking turns to bathe, and guessing/ recalling the name of sally yeh's husband name ( eng and chi) and the title of the duet that both of them sang eons ago.. hahaha..
9th oct: was a rainy day.. we got more or less drenched as usual.. or rather the shoes lah... so can imagine how numb our feet were.. and we walked so much.. in the morning to kilmainham gaol and the museum... was supposed to go to pub crawl that nite, but all of us were too tired and decided to have a good nite slp.. esp since we're gg to stay over at edinburgh airport the next nite...
10th oct: random shopping before we leave dublin for edinburgh in the afternoon... everything was soso, until we reached the airport then there were many problems. the vat refund office was closed, the flight was delayed, bx's bag wasn't allowed to pass and became checked-in baggage, warranting a 30euro charge. stupid woman.. didn't even give bx a chance to repack and squeeze in again.. and even delaying the flight, they still consider themselves reaching on time.. wonder how they define it, and >90% of flights reaching on time.. i wonder how credible that is... anw stayed over at edinburgh airport for the nite.. it wasn't that bad.. we had benches where we could just lie down like tt, though a tad unglam.. tt's where my jacket comes in handy! - to cover my face.. wahaha.. no one can recognise me then.. lol.. and of coz to block off the glaring lights in the airport.. but suddenly woke up at4am in the morning coz it was freaking freaking cold! and there was a lot of sounds, many ppl walking by, checking in. and of coz the 10-minute-ly announcement about 'pls keep ur liquids in a clear bag. liquids more than 100ml are not allowed blah blah blah.. ' accompanied us through the nite.. our lullaby.. haha.. or maybe hypnosis is more appropriate.. haha...
11th oct: yup anw woke up at 4+am, stoned around in the cold while trying to thaw ourselves before going out to take the bus to edinburgh city.. it was freezing cold too, but edinburgh city is really really beautiful! it was so quaint, and fairytale-like.. the building, architecture, skies, clouds, greenery was really pretty... it was sunny too, though very cold.. upon reaching edinburgh city and checking in at our hostel, we went out to search for our breakfast.. got subway (not much shops open at that time.. ard 8+am?) and walked around the quite empty streets.. it was really nice though freezing cold.. the wind was really strong, and fingers felt like frozen rods.. anw went on the free tour again. this time the tour guide was really entertaining and funny.. and he was acty wearing berms!!! and he said the weather was really gd coz it was quite sunny and tt's rare in edinburgh.. guess we're lucky huh? but it was still cold even when there's the sun! he took us on a near 4hr tour, though the free tour was supposed to be 3 hours only.. but this time the hostel wasn't as good. we shared a 10bed dorm.. and the toilets were outside the room, so it's shared wif all the ppl on the floor. out of the 4 cubicles only 2 can be locked.. -.- wasn't such a nice exp in the hostel as compared to dublin, but the room was quite warm.. which is good. haha..
12th oct: woke up early, about 6+ or 7+am.. coz we're leaving edinburgh alr, and we didn't have much time.. went to holyrood park to climb arthur's seat.. it was really tiring.. and it was a lie that it's only a half hour climb, but i think we took at least 2 hours? some parts were quite steep, and it was really far too.. but after reaching the top, the view was really wonderful.. acty along the ascent the view got nicer and nice along the way too.. the skies were so vast, and i wished i could take in the whole sky in my cam.. but haix.. it's impossible... after that we went to edinburgh castle. i would say the ticket being 12 pounds, was really disappointing. there were a few museums inside the castle.. and i think only a small part of the castle was for viewing.. the only few highlights were the crown, wand, sceptor, etc.. and theoretically the stone of destiny.. but it was really... just a piece of rock... hahaha... anw went back to edinburgh airport to catch our plane (easyjet) back to london... first time taking easyjet.. it was more spacious and more comfortable than ryanair i feel, but of coz ryanair was cheaper.. but anw london airport wasn't as cold as the rest made it out to be.. maybe coz there was more ppl around... anw it was a tiring day, coz we really walked around the whole day, without resting at all.. even lunch was on-the-go that day...
13th oct: woke up at 5+ 6am to catch our flight back to aarhus.. saw a beautiful sunrise when boarding the plane.. it was so cold after we alighted the plane, and waiting to cross the customs.. the stupid walkway isn't even totally sheltered.. horrible design.. the wind can still reach us..
okies the end.. i'm too tired to continue.. nitez!!! =p

omg i'm pigging out on my salted nuts again... oh wells, i need sth to munch on while i watch my videos.. updated animes, dramas, varieties etc.. AND I NEED TO START MUGGING!!! CORP FIN 1 EXAM COMING UP IN 9 DAYS!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! so i have no time to type dublin and edinburgh trip in detail.. i'll prob still type.. when i feel like it.. haha.. but i'll still upload pics on fb and write captions for them lah.. haha... this is how short my entry gets when i'm lazy.. hahah... i'll try to type at least a short entry each for dublin and edinburgh trip lah.. haha.. later.. or in the next few days.. =p
oh yeah.. can see the effects of global warming.. haha.. the weather is getting so cold here.. last night was 0 degrees, according to the temperature gadget thingy on my lappie... it was -2 degrees when i went to sleep.. apparently this morning was -3 when we went to school.. haha.. and it's only mid-october now.. at this rate, i'll probably get to see snow here in aarhus.. which was supposed to be unlikely.. before i came, the lowest temperature i was supposed to experience was about 0 degrees in december.. though i guess the low temperature now is only at night and early morning, day time isn't that low yet.. but... if it's -3 when we leave our dorm at 9+am, what will the temperature when we leave our dorm at 7+am for 8am lesson? T_T i foresee the torture.. haha.. and now sunrise is getting later and later, at 7+am.. in future, it'll probably be pitch dark when we go to school.. haha.. so cool huh?
though actually this morning was quite alright, even when it was supposed to be -3 degrees, coz there was no wind.. when gg back to dorm after sch, it was supposedly at least 5 degrees, but the wind was blowing like mad, and it seemed worse and colder than the walk in the morning... heater in my room is probably gg to be on 24 hours now... haha.. even when i go onto the corridor of my dorm now i'll feel the chill loh...

yay leaving for dublin and edinburgh for a week soon! prob not gg to slp later.. just in case i cant wake up in time to catch the bus to the airport.. haha.. can watch my drama and munch on my salted nuts throughout the nite!!! =D the bus comes by city at 8am.. so i hav to wake up at 6+am? o.O haha..

yay went to legoland yesterday.. ticket was a freaking exp 230dkk ( abt sgd 65)... but it was really cool and fun.. haha.. we went on all the available rides.. I LOVE THE ROLLER COASTER!! though it wasn't very scary.. and i finally went on the spinning tea cup thingy.. haha.. ok i shld start from the front.. lol...
was supposed to meet at sch at 830am (sch provided the transport to and fro).. we ran there in 20 min coz we left out place late.. haha.. i finally got my exercise here! haha... first time running in aarhus besides trying to escape from the cold.. lol.. but this run made me realise how unhealthy i am! i couldn't run for long and i got breathless very quickly... T_T though it's probably that air is thin here.. haha.. excuses? lol... oh wells.. the weather here is too cold for me to go jogging.. haha... though sometimes it can be quite shuang coz it's so cooling... anw we managed to reach on time.. there were 2 buses - 1 double decker and 1 bendy.. we took the bendy coz many ppl were gg to the double decker.. ppl like to climb high huh? anw lucky we took the bendy coz when the double decker broke down and was late for 2 hours! haha.. we only hav about 5 hours in legoland coz the bus leaves at 330pm.. it was about 1.5 hours ride there.. so we only reached at ard 10am.. anw on the road there, there was alot of long straight roads, and somehow the scenary looked like we were along malaysia highways.. haha.. unfortunately it was raining intermittently throughout the whole day.. towards the end we got more or less drenched again (since there was some water game rides) and yah the wind was blowing like there's no tomorrow as usual.. and it reminded us of horsens.. though this wasn't as bad.. coz at least there's shelters and we could hide in the shops.. anw slept on the way back to sch.. shoes and feet were still wet.. haha.. our feet were like numb alr.. can't feel anything as we ran to the bus stop to take the bus back to our place.. was shivering in the busstop as we waited for the bus for 20 min!!!
after that we went to nat's place to have our dinner gathering 3, aka maf celebration.. haha.. late dinner at 10pm, finished at 12pm, and had our tea and handmade mooncakes and chatted until 4.13am.. hahaha.. damn shag.. we were so full after dinner then we couldn't move.. was supposed to go to the oktoberfest thingy at our dorm's pub but since it was so late we changed our minds.. haha.. our dinner gatherings portion is getting larger and larger.. lol.. but i enjoyed myself! haha..
anw trying to upload pics on fb.. realised that i had 3 pics for legoland itself.. haha.. so filtered till abt 200 so i can squeeze it into one album.. haha.. 300+ pics in 5 hours.. so on average i took 1 picture per min! haha.. omg... looking forward to dublin and edinburgh in 3 days time!!! =)

no idea why i'm so tired today.. maybe coz today was a 8am lesson!! haha.. was supposed to wake up at 630 so i don't have to rush ard, but as usual i woke up late at 7am.. supposed to meet at 715-720 like that to walk to sch.. in the end i think we met at 730.. we still made it in time for the lesson though! haha.. i think our walking speed increased again.. haha.. anw slept through (almost) the whole lesson of org theory.. wanted to slp even during the break.. usually i'm awake for the break.. haha.. ahh but damn pissed with the exam format of this mod.. don't get me started on it.. i'll start ranting about it again... stupid system.. they pay for my flight if i have to reschedule loh.. damn it...
anw the weather is really gg crazy!!! the wind is damn cold today! supposedly today is 10-11 degrees.. and the sun is rising later and later!! it looks like 6am when i woke up lah! didn't feel like leaving my room until it's brighter.. haha.. but it turned bright quite fast.. i can't imagine going to school for 8am lesson next time in winter.. it'll prob still be dark when i leave? haha.. omg how am i gg to get out of my bed in the first place? i already felt like sleeping in today liao loh! haix..
and i was supposed to mug today! was feeling tired.. so i just drank coffee to make myself concentrate on my work.. yup! i'm quite awake now and can concentrate i guess.. on my lappie although there's nothing much to do.. i just keep turning to my lappie at frequent lapses of time just to click here and there.. omgggggggg i nid to mug! i'm behind for corp fin 1!! the homework!! and nid to read ot and icf!! (icf really hav to mug txbk liao.. listening to him just makes me lost.. ) omg wad's gg to happen to cf2?! omg...... is strat the only reliable mod? ans is no!!!!! the webcast isn't up yet too!! forget it.. just read the notes myself... omg.. so many things to do... heck.. dublin here i come! in 6 days time!!! wheeeeee~
